eyevis technology has been chosen to display the decisions and debates of the politicians who govern Romania.

Two video walls made up of EYE-LCD-6000-SN 60-inch displays have been installed in the Parliament’s Senate Plenary Hall.

The videowalls are located 5m high on the left and right side of the presidium and are used for showing the speaker and vote results live.

The project was completed with Romanian system integrator Aniva, which purchased eyevis monitors and installed, commissioned and set up the system.

Super narrow bezels for video wall applications

The eyevis EYE-LCD-6000-SN 60-inch displays have super narrow bezels for video wall applications. The display has superb image quality, high contrast, high brightness, high resolution. Thanks to the narrow bezel of the displays, the gap between the screens of neighbouring modules measures only 6.5mm.

To give the EYE-LCD-6000-SN more uniform brightness than conventional CCFL backlighting can offer, the display has LED elements across the entire panel directly behind the liquid crystal layers, so that multi-screen displays achieve beautifully uniform images.

Installation completed in four days during Parliament holiday

Iuliu Cristian, Sales Manager of Aniva, said: “This project was special, not only because of the location but the fact we had to dismantle old equipment and re-paint the walls and compete everything during a four-day Parliamentary holiday.

“I chose eyevis knowing the quality of the equipment and due to the fact that it complied with the requirements of the tender. Working with eyevis is also a very good reference for our young company.”

Rainer Link, International Sales Director of eyevis said: “The decisions made in the Romanian Parliament building affect the lives of millions of people and it is a glowing endorsement of eyevis products that we were chosen to supply the video walls which show democracy in action.”

The Romanian Parliament is located on Spirii Hill in central Bucharest and is the world’s largest civilian building with an administrative function. It is also the most expensive administrative building, has 1,100 rooms and is 12 stories tall, with an additional eight underground levels.
